Congratulation to Ilya Gorshteyn, this edition’s Senior of the Month! As one of the experienced FDR family members, Ilya especially loves the variety of courses FDR has to offer, with just the right teachers to teach them. Ilya’s favorite subjects are Math and Science. Solving problems logically and mathematically means everything to Ilya. Ilya is totally connected and active at FDR.  He is a part of the Math Team, Golf Team, Mega Moody’s Math Challenge Team, New York City Math Team, and the Student Ambassador Program. Not surprisingly, he joined a handful of teams that are associated with math because of his deep interest in the subject.

Ilya would like to tell any new students at FDR not to miss the opportunity offered at FDR.  Take advantage of them!. You should also enjoy the high school experience, right now, and perhaps make some everlasting friendships. Ilya thinks he was chosen to be the Senior of the Month because of his efforts to make a name for himself at FDR. Way to go Ilya!  Good luck in college next year!
