Boris Kaplan – Junior of the Month
Boris is the Junior of the Month! Boris enjoys attending FDR, and for him it is an interesting experience. According to Boris, teachers and social workers are usually helpful, and some teachers make class enjoyable and fun. Boris’ favorite subject is history, because he has always been a fan of it. He finds it interesting the way that people, and their actions in the past, affected the world then and now. It helps to show how people got to where they are now. He also feels it is difficult to make changes if we don’t understand our mistakes. Boris is involved in the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). He joined it because many of his friends are in it. His friends told him how enjoyable it is, with the fundraising and activities the club does. Boris also recently joined the Cougar Publication staff. Boris’ advice for new students at FDR is don’t be afraid to ask for help, because the guidance councilors and most teachers would be willing to help in both school and personal issues. Boris does not think he deserves to be the Junior of the Month. However, he is the top student in the AP United States History class, so we at The New Dealer believe he deserves it! Congrats to Boris!
