It’s Holiday Door Time!
Have you ever blankly stared into space, yearning for a way out, but there is no way out? Staring at the bleak brown door with the FDR logo on it, wanting to leave the class and escape the teacher’s voice? Well look no further! The solution is here, and it could be YOU! Our school will be holding our annual December door decorating contest! No more boring doors!!
Join an alliance with a teacher of your choosing, in this enjoyable contest for the best holiday door! According to Ms. Snyder, “I think it is a lot of fun, and it makes the school look beautiful. It is important to celebrate the holiday season with our students, because especially some of them might not be going home and experiencing that during the week off.” She did add that it will be hard to defend her crown from last year! lol…..Keep in mind that the doors must have a theme related to the season of giving or the winter season.
The door decorating has already begun, and the final day is December 16th at 12:00 PM. The doors will be judged on 4 categories: visual impact, craftsmanship, originality, and theme. There will be a best door for each of the categories labeled. Ms. Nova is working with a theme up in the Math department. She says, that using a theme with the sea was interesting because it had to be connected to the holidays. This made her door design merge fish with the design of a tree! So cool!
Let’s see what you’ve got Cougar Nation! May the best door win!
