Miguel Hernandez is this month’s Junior of the Month. Miguel moved from Texas to join the Cougar family this school year. So far, he likes going to FDR. The people are nice, and the teachers are great. Miguel is a member of the National Honor Society, and he plans to joins various other clubs. He thinks he is doing fairly well in all of his classes. Miguel’s favorite classes are Spanish, with Ms. Sanabria, and AP American History, with Mr. Sullivan. According to Miguel, both are excellent teachers and are fun to be around. His advice for upcoming juniors; don’t stress over the little things and don’t aim for short-term success. In the long run, you’ll end up failing. Miguel was selected by Mr. Sullivan, because of his work ethic, respectful attitude, and his willingness to help others. According to Mr. Sullivan, “There are very few people I have met in my life, as respectful and well mannered as Miguel. He sets a great example everyday for his peers and teachers. We should all be a little more like Miguel.”
