Lady Cougars Tennis Team

For the first time in three years, the Lady Cougars have made it to the playoffs! Some may say it was long overdue. However, it wasn’t just their hard work that led them to the playoffs; it was the push of their coach. Coach Kolesnik, day in and day out, motivated the girls. With a season record of 7-3, the Lady Cougars are aiming for an exciting finish.

Most days, if not every day, the girls practiced at least two hours, even after a long day of school. Long before the season even started in August, while some were poolside, or preparing for Baywatch, the Lady Cougars were working hard on the courts to prepare for the season. The Lady Cougars practiced to master their backhand, forehand, serves, and leg movements just to name a few. The Lady Cougars handed Fort Hamilton their only loss of the season to open divisional play, and ended up splitting the divisional series 1-1. With a 3rd place finish, the Lady Cougars look to make FDR proud with a deep playoff run!

Good Luck Lady Cougars and continue making us proud. Bring home the championship!
