Tony Wang- Male Student/Athlete

Tony Wang is June’s Male Student/Athlete of the Month! Tony is not only an excellent and hard working student, he helped lead his Boys Tennis team to the PSAL playoffs! Tony likes attending FDR, although it did take him a while to get accustomed to such a large school.  Tony’s best subjects are Chemistry and AP United States History.

Tony is in his third year on the Boys Tennis team. Thanks to his dedication, he worked his way all the way to 1st Singles by the end of this season.  He was also honored as the team’s MVP, at the FDR’s Sports Awards Ceremony! Tony admits that Tennis is his only strength as an athlete, but he is proud of his accomplishments this season. Tony believes his greatest weakness is his lack of confidence going into matches. He is already looking forward to next season and taking his game to the next level as a senior.

Tony’s performance and sportsmanship this year earned him the honor of this Month’s Male Student/Athlete. Congrats to Tony! We are looking forward to a great senior year in 2018-2019!
