The start of the Boys Varsity Basketball season brings excitement and for good reason. This year, our team is reaching for the top. Our collective goal is clear and ambitious: to win as many games as possible. With determination, preparation, and a shared vision, we’re ready to chase greatness.

Preparing for a season takes intense effort and solid attention, which is obvious in how our sessions are organized. Each session is just structured to test us to our limits and beyond.

The first half of practice is cardio. We do running drills, sprints, and other conditioning exercises to build up our stamina and endurance. This foundation of fitness will keep us prepared for every minute of every game, at the highest level of competition.

The second half is more specific to basketball: working on skills, fine-tuning our game, and planning for the next opponents. Perfecting passes, shooting techniques, rehearsing plays both on offense and defense-no drill is aimless. It’s hard work, but we welcome it, knowing full well that success doesn’t allow for anything less than giving it your all.

What makes the team this year is the team teamwork. The teamwork between teammates is stronger than ever, and it shows in how we work together on and off the court. Whether we’re cheering each other on during drills or planning our next matchup, we’re all working toward the same goal.
