For a particular Friday every four years, the chief executive officer of the Recording Academy of Music, Harvey Mason Jr., often wakes up to a frightening thought about the downfall of its so-called “Music’s biggest night.” Especially when its nomination announcement is right after the result of the presidential election which stole the spotlight of all the events close to it. This might make some of us wonder what kind of controversy the Recording Academy will cause to keep its popularity? Is it the fifth Album Of The Year for Ms. Americana? Or the first ever AOTY to the leader of the Beygency? Wait! What if that 365 party girl who stole the word brat from the BDSM community swiped the award shows? Nat, it’s never going to happen, but since some singers who have been in this industry for more than ten years can be nominated for best new artist, and even possibly win it, anything can happen. Anyway, in this article I’m going to present my most biased and shady prediction of the 2025 Grammy Award.
Let’s start with some small categories:
Best Music Video –
Nomination: Kendrick Lamar – Not Like Us | Taylor Swift feat. Post Malone – Fortnight |
Eminem – Houdini | ASAP Rocky – Tailor Swif | Charli xcx – 360
Guess whose album is nominated for 9 awards just behind Cowboy Carter? Right! It is the most and least popular artist Charlie XCX! Okay, now get back to the nomination here is my prediction –
1st – Not Like Us – 45%
2nd – Fortnight – 25%
3rd – 360 – 15%
4th – Tailor Swif – 10%
5th – Houdini – 5%

You will only need to know one nominee! Olivia Rodrigo – Can’t Catch Me Now
1st – Olivia Rodrigo – Can’t Catch Me Now – 100%
Congrats Olivia!
Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording –
Since it is right after the election, if you don’t know, there are only four presidential candidates who have won a Grammy! And the current most possible winner for next year’s Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording Jimmy Carter might be the oldest person ever to win a Grammy! Let’s pray together for President Carter to be able to pick up his award!

Eternal Sunshine — Ariana Grande -10%
The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess — Chappell Roan – 20%
THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT — Taylor Swift – 22%
Should Win: The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess — Chappell Roan
Here comes the most biased and unreasonable part of this prediction. Every small prize could be forgotten due to the passing of time, but every person who won the general field with or without controversy will be remembered in pop culture forever.
Best New Artist –
Benson Boone – 7%
Sabrina Carpenter – 20%
Doechii – 6%
Khruangbin – 5%
Raye – 15%
Chappell Roan – 22%
Shaboozey – 15%
Teddy Swims – 10%
The one of the most competitive BNA nominations in this decade along with the 2020 Grammy BNA nomination. Maybe it is even more competitive as five artists in my opinion have the talent and commercial success to win this award. But, critically and personally, I believe and prefer Chappell to win this category as her competitiveness in other categories was not as strong as this one, and also, for holding the most acclaimed album in this category.
Song Of The Year –
“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” — Shaboozey – 10%
“BIRDS OF A FEATHER” — Billie Eilish – 20%
“Die With A Smile” — Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars – 14%
“Fortnight” — Taylor Swift Featuring Post Malone – 10%
“Good Luck, Babe!” — Chappell Roan – 14%
“Not Like Us” — Kendrick Lamar – 16%
“Please Please Please” — Sabrina Carpenter – 8%(heard a thousand Sabrina fans yelling why PPP but lyrically and melodically it is way more interesting than Espresso)
“TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” — Beyoncé – 8%
Should Win: “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” — Billie Eilish
Record Of The Year –
“Now and Then” – The Beatles – 14%
“TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” – Beyoncé – 12%
“Espresso” – Sabrina Carpenter – 20%
“360” – Charli xcx – 3%
“BIRDS OF A FEATHER” – Billie Eilish – 16%
“Not Like Us” – Kendrick Lamar – 15%
“Good Luck, Babe!” – Chappell Roan – 10%
“Fortnight” – Taylor Swift Featuring Post Malone – 10%
Should Win: “Good Luck, Babe!” – Chappell Roan – 10%
The main three tracks that were racing for this category are “Espresso”, “BIRDS OF A FEATHER”, and “Not Like Us”. Those three tracks have the best commercial success of this year as commercial success has always been a great factor in the poll of this award. I pick “Espresso” as the stand-out because it has a very similar popularity trend as “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus from last year which won both Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. Both songs were a comeback Single that represented a start of a new era that obtained much stronger commercial success compared to the former era.
ALBUM OF THE YEAR –
New Blue Sun – André 3000 – 5%
COWBOY CARTER – Beyoncé -17%
Short n’ Sweet – Sabrina Carpenter – 10%
BRAT – Charli xcx – 19%
Djesse Vol. 4 – Jacob Collier – 5%
HIT ME HARD AND SOFT – Billie Eilish – 18%
The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess – Chappell Roan – 10%
THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT – Taylor Swift – 16%
Should Win: BRAT – Charli xcx – 19%
Brat but there was no pattern behind this prediction and it is completely based on my instinct and bias, but it is still brat. However, I genuinely believe Beyonce deserved this award even if Cowboy Carter is not a good album (which it is) simply because the three albums she released before were completely perfunctory by the Recording Academy. With Billie, I just felt that she had already obtained an excessive amount of praise from the Recording Academy, and I think her last album is a better album with stronger lyricism and coherence compared to this album. Same thing with Taylor. That is the most logical reason I believe brat could win AOTY. I will be satisfied if any one of the four of them wins it.
